Over 450 people from around Illinois gathered at the Crown Plaza on Wednesday and Thursday to participate in the 33rd annual TODAYS CHALLENGE, TOMORROWS REWARD conference sponsored by the Illinois Dept. of Transportation.
The purpose of the conference is to provide pathways for minority and women owned businesses who want to do work with IDOT by way of seminars, workshops and networking events.
Folks also heard from former Nebraska Cornhusker turned motivational speaker, Aaron Davis, who played for the 93-94 championship teams. He talked about turning challenges into opportunities such as his triumph over cancer and finding success in the business world.
