A Springfield engineer accused of helping defraud the IEPA of $13.6 million has a sentencing date set.
Authorities say 37 year old Jeremy VanScyoc (van-SOCK) admitted to submitting false claims to IEPA while working for Environmental Management, Inc. between 2001 and 2012. The claims submitted were either for services not rendered, or showed statements that were inflated.
VanScyoc admitted to the offenses and will be sentenced in July.
