It’ll be here before you know it – the Illinois State Fair.
The 2014 edition, Aug. 7-17, has the theme “Making Memories.”
“Nothing makes more sense to me,” fair manager Amy Bliefnick says of that phrase. “As a kid I still have great memories of being a youth, coming with my family to the Illinois State Fair, and as I plan for the fair every single year, it’s about memories, and it’s what kind of memories can we help today’s kids and parents and boyfriends and girlfriends. What kind of memories can we help them create?”
Entertainment acts this year include Florida Georgia Line, Steely Dan, Boston and Hunter Hayes.
Just announced Tuesday, Grammy Award winning rap star Pitbull will take the Grandstand Stage on Saturday, August 9. Tickets go on sale May 3.
Admission remains $7 for most adults on most days at the fair.
