Important Update: Change in single-family home waste management services

In collaboration with Republic Services, the City of Springfield’s Office of Public Works announced a waste service change for Waste Management customers, effective February 1, 2024.

Key Changes:

• All single-family homes within Waste Management’s service area will now receive trash services from Republic Services.
• Residents are encouraged to retain the current trash cans Waste Management provides.
• Republic Services will provide blue stickers to identify homes added to the scheduled pickups.
• New routes have been implemented while maintaining the same scheduled pickup days established by Waste Management.

Important Note:

This change applies exclusively to Waste Management single-family homes and does not impact business customers of Waste Management.
