Jacksonville authorities say they know who murdered Marcus Jackson.
Police on Monday issued a warrant for Avery T. Berry, 19, on three counts of 1st Degree Murder. They allege he shot Jackson in the 300 Block of North Fayette early Friday. It happened near the main offices for Jacksonville School District 117. The district operated as normal Friday.
Police say Berry has ties to the Jacksonville, Springfield and Decatur areas. They’re asking anyone with information to call the Jacksonville Police Department or Morgan County Crimestoppers.
