Sacred Heart-Griffin is the Class 4A football champion, defeating New Lenox-Providence 44-20 Friday night in Champaign. It is the sixth championship – and the final game – for retiring coach Ken Leonard. There will be a celebration at 1 Sunday afternoon on the SHG west campus.
Earlier Friday, Williamsville lost the 3A championship game to Elmhurst Catholic, 49-17.
