Springfield police say they were called to a shooting scene in the 2000 block of Lions Court and found someone at Laurel and Wirt trying to get the victim to the hospital, where the victim eventually died. This was around 6:30 Sunday evening.
Coroner Jim Allmon says the victim, a 19-year-old Springfield man, was pronounced dead around 7 p.m.
