Lose weight, check. Stop smoking, check. How about putting volunteering on your New Year’s Resolution list? John Kelker, who heads up the United Way in Springfield says there are plenty of ways to serve the community.
“It is a wonderful idea for people to make a committment….we have a volunteer software platform that allows people to go on, look at agencies to post their needs, and their volunteer opportunties” says Kelker.
