A Macon County Sheriff’s Office employee has been arrested and charged with official misconduct.
Our news partners at WAND-TV report Cpl. Penny Adams was arrested at the law enforcement center late last week, accused of giving a Macon County Jail inmate a cell phone. Adams was released Tuesday morning after posting bond.
The incident is still under investigation.
