A Springfield man took himself to the hospital after being shot in the chest and robbed.
Police say three black men entered the man’s home late Monday night in the 2600 block of south 7th street. They allegedly robbed him, then one pulled out a small handgun and shot him in the upper chest.
The man took himself to the hospital. Deputy Police Chief Dan Mounce says they’re checking out the victim’s story to see if it adds up.
