Five men are seeking the Republican nomination for governor. Businessman Gary Rabine swung through town Wednesday. How will he break out of the pack?

“I believe I’m the most conservative,” Rabine told WTAX News. “I believe I am the strongest, business-minded person who can bring jobs back to Illinois. I understand tax, I think, as well as anybody in the state. And probably my biggest attribute that iI don’t talk about very much is I understand infrastructure very, very, very well, because I am a paving guy – a concrete asphalt guy.”

When asked his stance on former President Trump, Rabine said he has the kind of leadership we need in Illinois.

Rabine is one of five Republicans seeking the nomination. The primary is June 28.
