Around 48 Springfield High School students who are members of the National Honors Society made good use of their Veterans Day Holiday on Friday by volunteering to clean up yards of military veterans who could use some assistance.
One group of about 10 students met at a house in Leland Grove to rake up leaves for a 97-year-old WW2 Navy veteran. He told WTAX News this is the third year the kids have come by to help.
