Scanners have been added to Sangamon County courtrooms. That means court documents, including orders of protection, can be transferred to the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Department faster. Circuit Clerk Joe Roesch has been working with Sheriff Jack Campbell and judges to improve speed and efficiency.
Prior to adding the scanners, law enforcement may not have received the orders for several hours or the next day. Sheriff Jack Campbell said, “Receiving these Orders of Protection in a timely manner is vital in order to serve the respondent and ensure the petitioner is protected.”
