Police Seek Tips on Major Copper Theft

Police are looking for help figuring out who damaged about a dozen air conditioners at the Town and Country Shopping Center on south MacArthur Blvd.

Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers says they were hit sometime between May 22nd and 30th. Thieves caused between $60,000 and $100,000 worth of damage as they stole copper components.

Anyone with anonymous information leading to an arrest is encouraged to call Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers at 788-8427, head online or text tips. Type 672 plus a message and send to CRIMES.
