As the temperatures drop, The Springfield Police Department sees an uptick in vehicle theft while the vehicle is warming up and would like to remind residents not to leave your car unattended andunlocked while running.
Here are some useful tips that can help you protect your vehicle.
Always lock your vehicle doors and trunk.
Never leave your keys or key fob inside the vehicle.
Don’t leave valuables in your car.
Park in well-lit areas or preferably inside a garage if possible.
Remote starters that allow you to start the engine while keeping the vehicle safely locked without the presence of a
