The South Sangamon Water Commission says a boil order will last through the weekend for portions of Chatham.

A computer malfunctioned which caused the water pressure on a line to drop below acceptable levels. Homes and businesses between the ground storage tank near I-55 and the water treatment plant on Buckhart Rd. are affected. Samples will be pulled on Monday for testing.

Water to be used for consumption should be brought to a rolling boil for at least five minutes.
