Another new face has emerged in the list of people running for Springfield City Council.
Sarah Delano Pavlik has announced she’s running for Ward 7 against incumbent Joe McMenamin. Pavlik, who grew up in Springfield and has lived here uninterrupted for 16 years now, said she wants to bring positive change.
“I just think there are a lot of things that Springfield could do better,” Pavlik said. “Infrastructure, business friendliness, obviously the pension issues we have. A lot of things could be improved. I would like to help improve those things.”
Just this past weekend Pavlik began gathering signatures and knocking on doors in the ward. She wouldn’t specifically say anything McMenamin is doing wrong, saying she’s instead focusing on what she wants to do.
