Adam Ibbotson (pictured, right, with wife Kate) has something to be thankful for this week: a new job. The Maroa-Forsyth school board appointed him superintendent Monday.

Ibbotson has spent the last several years in the Williamsville-Sherman school district, the last four years as Sherman Elementary principal. He also taught at Glenwood High School before moving to central Illinois from his native southeastern Illinois.

He is an Eastern Illinois University graduate, and his first day on the job will be July 1.
