TUESDAY around 9:00 pm, Sangamon County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 2600 block of S. Glenwood regarding a shooting.

A 30 year old man claimed he had been shot in the hip by a woman who came to his door making demands.

The man claims he was unsure what the woman wanted, but she threatened she had others with her. The victim says he did not see anyone else. He says he turned to run when he was shot.

The man was transported for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The woman suspect was described as wearing dark colored clothing, and her face was covered.

No weapon was recovered.

A 22 y/o woman and an infant were in the house when the shooting occurred.

The incident remains under investigation.
