A shot-spotter alert of a single gunshot sent police to the 2100 block of E. Ash on Tuesday.
When they arrived officers saw several men walking away from the area. One subject ran away and was taken into custody without incident, and a firearm was recovered.
Another firearm was located in the pocket of another man.
Ultimately, the investigative stop resulted in the recovery of four firearms, over 4 grams of meth, 70 grams of cannabis and four arrests.
Arrested were; Zytravious Ealem, 18 of Springfield, arrested for possession of stolen firearm, unlawful use of a weapon while masked, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a weapon (no foid).
Dontrell Young, 19 of Springfield, warrant arrest, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of firearm (no foid).
Marshawn Jefferson, 19 of Springfield, arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Censear Hope, 20, of Springfield, armed violence, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, methamphetamine delivery, resisting/obstructing a police officer, possession of a firearm (no foid).
