A Springfield man has been sentenced to 20 months in prison for wire fraud. 33-year-old Phillip Lovelace, Jr. fraudulently obtained over $40,000 in Covid-19 Paycheck Protection Program loans as well as unemployment benefits from Arizona. Evidence shows Lovelace spent the money on personal expenses like dining out, trips and car rentals.  He also worked with others to get the relief funds.  This sentence will run consecutive to the sentence he is currently serving in an Illinois prison for an unrelated crime.
