School safety did not dominate Monday’s School Board Meeting but did garner some attenion for District 186 Superintendent Jennifer Gill afterward.
“We want to celebrate every day that learning is happening every day,” says Gill. “We are taking this seriously every day and we are in the process of getting a committee together by the next board meeting.”
Gill says the committee will involve police, administrators and, parents. There have been several incidents of guns being brought on to school grounds.
