A Chatham man accused of disseminating roughly 14,000 pieces of child pornography has appeared in court, his bond set at $500,000.

Jacob Stark, 26, hasĀ been charged with ten counts of possessing or disseminating pieces of child pornography. He was arrested Thursday as part of Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s “Operation Glass House” sting. In a news release, she said this was one of the largest busts in the operation.

The Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s office says it’s seen some of the videos connected to Stark, who was arrested at the Capital Area Career Center. He worked there as a custodian. The office says all the children shown appear to be younger than 9, all performing sexual acts.

He faces between 6 and 30 years in prison if convicted. If released on bond, he won’t be allowed to use computers, cell phones or other electronic devices with internet access — he also won’t be allowed to have contact with children.
