The Illinois job market is not improving, following several months of growth.
The Illinois Department of Employment Security says 6.6% of adults were unemployed in October. More that 6.5 million people are without work….up by more than 30,000 since the end of September.
According to the monthly jobless report, educational and health services companies led the month’s job growth with a net increase of 4,600 jobs.
But the information, financial and professional and business services sectors all cut more jobs than they added in October.
