Some of the students of Laketown Elementary School learned about the importance of good dental hygiene at a Monday morning program presented by Delta Dental and the Childrens Theater Academy.
Terry Toothpick, Caz Cavity, Captain Super Smiles and other colorful characters used giant props and exciting backdrops to take students to The Land of Smiles where they learned about proper brushing techniques, the importance of twice daily brushing and flossing, regular dental visits and other tips and techniques to insure a lifetime of health smiles.
The two performers, Jordan Thomas and Christy Contrari, traveled from Louisiana and are currently touring Illinois.
The say they will visit around 100 schools during their month-long tour.
Delta Dental sponsors around 150 teams that travel the country teaching 500,000 kids about healthy teeth and gums.
