Taylorville newlyweds, not married for more than a month, are the state’s newest millionaires.
The State Journal-Register reports Steve Durbin and his wife, Wilma, married on March 29th, matched all six numbers on the Lotto ticket they purchased April 9th at the Taylorville Kroger. The winnings were 20.25 million dollars, which the Durbins opted to take as a lump sum payment of 11.6 million dollars.
Durbin says they’ll save some, spend some and share some of the money.
And on Wednesday, somebody purchased a $300,000 winner in the Lucky Day Lotto game at the Northender in Springfield.
