Yesterday afternoon, around at approximately 2:30, officers patrolling in the area of Grand Valley Village reported hearing gunshots.
Officers found a 17-year-old man on Woodlyn Valley, with a graze wound to his face. He was taken to HSHS St. John’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A vehicle and residence were found to have been hit by gunfire
It is believed the shooting was the result of a fight that happened just prior to shots being fired.
After collecting evidence and obtaining statements a male juvenile suspect was located and arrested in the 1200 block of S. 16th Street.
The 16 years old, was arrested for aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm, additional charges are pending.
