The major parties’ top candidates in Tuesday’s election had contrasting plans Monday; Democrats, led by Gov. JB Pritzker, staged a fly-around to speak to local supporters around the state. State Sen. Darren Bailey (R-Xenia), the gubernatorial challenger, joined his party’s attorney general nominee, Tom DeVore, at a news conference in Oak Brook to discuss covid vaccination.
Bailey and Tom DeVore assert they have evidence Pritzker will roll out “large-scale child vaccination,” a charge Pritzker denies. DeVore then chastised a reporter – to the cheering of a friendly crowd – who asked a question about political mailers.
To sum up, any candidate you’re voting for has probably been branded a liar by their opponent. Backing the Workers’ Rights Amendment at a Springfield rally, comptroller Susana Mendoza said those who say it will automatically drive up property taxes are suffering from a disease called “lie-abetes.”
