Former Kincaid Mayor Doug Thomas will face two trials for two charges incurred during his time as mayor.
A Christian County Court set a bench trial date of January 8th for Thomas’s drug possession count. He completed treatment and is expected to get probation. The drugs allegedly fell out of his pocket while he was arrested on an unrelated domestic charge.
The other accusation, official misconduct, will be addressed in a jury trial beginning February 2. He’s accused of using village employees on village time for personal reasons.
Another charge, where he allegedly violated an order of protection against an ex-boyfriend, will be handled separately.
