The five-year-old admissions scandal at the University of Illinois is surfacing in the Republican contest for governor.
The names of three of the four candidates — state Treasurer Dan Rutherford, state Senator Kirk Dillard and state Senator Bill Brady — appear on a list of lawmakers who called U of I to check on applications.
Brady says his staff made the calls but he never did personally.
