Leisure and hospitality, education and health, and government had the most job gains. While trade, transportation, and utilities showed the biggest losses in jobs.
The state’s unemployment rate was 1 and 1 tenths higher than the national average. The number of unemployed workers was up 1.3% in December from the previous month.
