Yet another water main break is diverting traffic near downtown Springfield and some businesses are being affected.
The break at 5th and Monroe is affecting service in the area, which includes Lincoln Square Apartments, Cafe Brio, the Ridgely Building and Security Bank. Two lanes on east Monroe are closed and will remain closed until street repairs are completed.
It’s so far unclear how long repairs will take.
