SPRINGFIELD, IL – Republic Services has issued a notice of service delay due to winter weather. According to communication from the City of Springfield, Republic Services has decided to withdraw their drivers from the roads Friday to protect the safety of their drivers.
In order to ensure that all residents receive their trash and yard waste service back on schedule, the residential service will be doubled on Friday, February 23, 2024. Lake Area Disposal & Recycling is still operating on its regular schedule. For questions regarding your particular residence, please call Republic Services, 217-522-7797.
