The woman who died early Monday morning after falling from a moving car has been identified.
The Sangamon County Coroner says Nishiekah Shephard, 24, of Springfield was pronounced dead shortly after 3:00 at Memorial Medical Center, an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
The accident shut down the intersection of Cook and Dirksen for several hours.
