Monk on a bike

Joey talks with Gregory Filson, a Buddhist monk from Japan who started his “Monk on a Bike” project traveling cross-country in early May in San Francisco.

Here is more of Gregory’s story –

Following a little cancer scare a few years ago, I felt compelled to actually DO something to try and help people; this in the mandate of all monks. Having been a road cyclist since my early teens, the bicycle was destined to be at the center of any such undertaking, and the ‘Monk on a Bike’ idea was born. After a much-needed break here in Springfield, I will proceed across Illinois, into Indiana, and on towards the Capitol Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C.”
